For over two decades, our Glenfiddich 21 Year Old has been aged traditionally, patiently maturing at our distillery in Scotland for 21 long years in American oak casks. But to make it truly unique, we wanted to imbue it with even warmer and richer flavours, notes found in Rum.

After at least 21 years maturing in American oak casks, our precious 21-year-old single alt is finished for up to four months in casks soaked with a custom blend of Golden rum- our Malt Masters secret recipe, using spirits from three Caribbean islands. The result is a unique and elegantly balanced single malt which is a true reflection of the passion for perfection passed down through our family since 1887.

In the summer of 1886, with the help of his seven sons and two daughters, William set out to fulfill a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer. The legacy of Glenfiddich is a product of Williams's passion, determination, and pioneering spirit.

Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family-owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of the founder's integrity and innovative spirit, passed down through the generations.

Its the details that matter. After maturing the premium whisky for 21 years, the Malt Master adds even warmer and richer flavours by uniquely finishing this single malt in first-fill bourbon barrels that once contained rum from the Caribbean. This expression spends four months finishing in Gran Reserva barrels selected by the distillery's Malt Master, adding to its distinctive and complex flavour.

The rum-soaked cask infuses the aged whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness, the character of the Caribbean shining through. This gives the smooth single malt whisky a sumptuous sweet intensity that is both rich and creamy yet still retains the unmistakable character of Glenfiddich. Great for those expecting a very mature, traditional yet intriguing malt. Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant, and drying. New leather and oak nose combine with complex sweet, smoky, and subtle ginger flavours in this classic Glenfiddich.
